Library Checkout
Students in Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade visit the library every week for book checkout, library lessons and story time. Students in grades 2-5 visit the library for lessons monthly or on as-needed basis for research or lessons in other content areas and have open access to book checkout every day by using our library management system, Destiny, to return and checkout new books. Students in 3rd-5th grades may also checkout out audiobook devices called Playaways. For access to our library catalog, please visit here.
Would you like to check out additional books to share with your children at home? Contact Ms.Grillo to set up your own MES library account where you are able to check out up to 10 books at a time!
SORA
In addition to their physical library books, students also have 24/7 access to SORA, our district's database of thousands of online e-books and audiobooks. By downloading the app on a device like a tablet or phone, student books can be read from virtually anywhere in addition to being read on their Chromebooks. Here are the instructions:
1. Download “SORA” from the app store
2. Search “PFLUGERVILLE ISD”
3. Login with GOOGLE > STUDENT PFISD EMAIL AND PASSWORD
4. You’re all set to READ! (Kids can also use SORA on their Chromebooks!)
