Meet Mrs. Cruz-Gauna

Mrs. Gloria Cruz-Gauna

My role at Murchison is to help your child have a positive and successful school experience. I make every effort to get to know every one of my students personally and make each of them aware of the services I provide so that they may reach their full potential while at MES. I will be working closely with your child’s teacher throughout the year and will visit your child’s classroom for guidance lessons on a regular basis. I will help in any way I can or I will put you in contact with other professionals who can meet your child’s needs. I am excited about working with you, your family, and most importantly, your child!

 
My experience with children prior to school counseling includes classroom teaching (3rd and 5th), Elementary Dance Educator, and as an Instructional Coach. I earned my Master of Education Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas State University. I recently began my school counselor career at the middle school level in 2019. This is my second year here at Murchison ES!
