Arrival & Dismissal

ARRIVAL

Students who need to eat breakfast at school may arrive at 7:05 am. All students will be released to their class at 7:20 am. The first bell rings at 7:30 am and the tardy bell rings at 7:35 am.

DISMISSAL

There are three dismissal systems for Murchison students: daycare, biker/walkers, and car-riders. Dismissal is at 2:50 pm but we start dismissing students at 2:45 pm.

Daycares will either go to the cafeteria for EDP or to the bus loop to wait for the daycare van to pick them up. Staff will wait with students until they get onto their daycare van.

Biker/walkers will dismiss out the back patio. Parents who would like to walk up to get their child should dismiss them with biker/walkers and be waiting for them out back. There will be a designated waiting spot for each grade level. 

Car-riders are for students who stay in the car and their parents go through the front car loop.The car loop is for parents who do not want to get out of their car. Parents must have the sign provided by the school in their front window. Students must enter on the passenger side and be able to get in and get buckled independently. If you need to help your child get into their car seat, please plan to park your car in the parking lot and walk around to the back of the building. In this case, your child will be dismissed with biker/walkers.
